Gameday

Ok, so I'm posting this a little early... but I might not be online much today (game day).

Here's hoping we have a good, clean game tonight and that there aren't any injuries like what happened to Michael Bush in the Louisville game. But I still hope we see a lot of this:

In all seriousness, the outcome of tonight's game hinges on one key factor: a lot of changes were made by both teams during the offseason... everyone is older and more experienced (etc, except for all the true freshman who will start the game and/or see significant playing time)... but this game will come down to one thing and just one thing -- how much of an impact Larry Coker lets his new staff of mini-Ditkas have on the game.

Amen, brother.

I need to go to sleep...

But I am a happy man.

I am glad that that was a good game this year - I'm anxious to hear your thoughts, but I'll wait until tomorrow, obviously...

How soon do you think someone will have video up of that hit on Kyle Wright where his helmet came flying off?

Mike said...

You'll have to go look for it, bitch.

When you do, find the video of Buster taking off his helmet. He was Miami's best offense last night.

wiggins said...

Come on! It came off, accidently!

Mike said...

Still, it was Miami's best offense.

And I haven't seen a replay. Live it looked like he took it off to celebrate his tackle.

Oh! You mean that other play...

Actually, the call was for a late spear on that one. They didn't call the helmet (it was accidental), but someone else (I forget who) came in late on the ball carrier with his helmet and they called that. It looked at first like they were calling Davis for the helmet, but they weren't. It was a good call, actually, and a dumb play from whoever it was (wish I remembered)... and yeah - that was your best offense of the evening.

Oh - ok. I completely misunderstood it. But without that penalty, Miami doesn't score. The drive was over there.

I will now restore my faith in Buster Davis. I respect him.

Good, good.

We don't want any lost faith in Buster.

Even from the Canes...

You've got to love a guy named Buster. He's one of my three favorite Buster's ever (not sure where he ranks amongst Rhymes and Douglas though).

But he ranks higher than Olney?

Good...

I'm starting to warm up to Olney. But only a little. Picked up "Last Night of the Yankees Dynasty" in the bargain bin. It was a good read.

I also don't hate Olney as much as I used to... but he still can't compare to Davis, now can he?
